Hi AZPVA,

Doug Beckley, PVA Sports & Recreation Dept., suggested I contact Chapter Executive Directors & Presidents and ask to have you guys poll members regarding a NEW program we hope will make life more complete for NASCAR fans with disabilities.

Random phone surveys to other Chapters returned positive feedback, now i ask for your help surveying individual members of your Chapter and let us know the level of interest in a New England stock car driving experience for physically challenged race fans.

Abilities Racing NASCAR is the FIRST arrive and drive NASCAR racecar modified for physically challenged people to experience motor sports. Chassis modifications include dual break, dual gas, and dual steering on the instructors side. Drivers side has safety engineered and fabricated door opening, EGB (electric gas & break) attached to the roll cage that opens like a passenger car door, standard steering wheel that can be removed and replaced with interchangeable horizontal steering assembly. Variable effort steering is powered by motors and vacuum tanks in addition to up motors, push button power shift automatic transmission, push/pull gas & break.

We hope stock car driving experience will be offered by PVA as an incentive to be active in the Chapter operations in the same manor as Fishing Trips, Wheel Chair Games, Shooting Tournaments etc.

Please check out my web site, and click on NY Metro Abilities Expo video link on the front page. I will forward testimonial from interest groups at your request.

Hanaford Associates Abilities Racing received inquiries from several common interest groups; Abilities Expo, Sports Car Club of America, Porsche Club of America, Paralyzed Veterans, United Spinal Association, & NRA Disabled Shooters.

Porsche Club of America has invited us to test & tune Sept 2 on an autocross course set up at Meadowlands Stadium, East Rutherford NJ.

Winter months may dictate events scheduled in the South Eastern United States based on level of interest. Currently we are considering packages at Walt Disney World Speedway & Phoenix International Speedway.

Thank you in advance for your time and consideration.

Sincerely, Brian E. Hanaford
