Its that time of the year again everyone!!!

 Dear Members and Friends,

 You and your family are invited to our Annual Southern Arizona PVA Picnic on Saturday April 6th 2013 at Ora Mae Harn Park in Marana, hosted by the Paralyzed Veterans of America Arizona Chapter. The Board of Directors meeting will begin promptly at 10:30 am and lunch will be served around 11:30 am. This year, our menu will be Nathan’s Hot Dogs and Angus Beef Hamburgers. The Chapter will provide water and sodas for everyone. We strongly encourage you to bring side dishes and any other food contributions that can be served and casino canada shared with the members and their friends. Please RSVP as soon as possible so we have a good idea of how many people will be attending. The more, the merrier! Bring your families, friends, neighbors, and fellow Veterans!

Each year more than 500 novice and experienced athletes meet for a week of archery, swimming, weightlifting, basketball, quad rugby and more. It’s the National Veterans Wheelchair Games, the largest annual wheelchair sports competition of its kind in the world.

Throughout the week, veterans realize their abilities and potential while enjoying the spirit of healthy activity and fellowship. Paralyzed Veterans of America and the Department of Veterans Affairs have co-presented the Games since 1985.

On March 23rd 2013, the Arizona Chapter PVA participated in an event at Campo Verde High School in Gilbert. It was to raise awareness and funds for the 33rd National Veterans Wheelchair Games in Tampa, Florida. 17-year-old Dylan Chambal developed this great idea as part of his biomedical capstone project. Driving Directions

Coming to medical center from Southern Arizona:

  • Take 1-17 North to Cordes Junction/Highway 69 exit (Prescott)
  • Follow Highway 69 to Prescott (you will go through Mayer, Dewey and Prescott Valley and then to Prescott)
  • As you approach the Prescott Resort (on right with neon sign, just after you pass the Frontier Village shopping center that will be on your left) get in the right hand lane.
  • Right after the stoplight by the Prescott Resort bear right to get on Highway 89N.
  • As soon as you bear right, get in the left-hand lane and cross Highway 89 at the stoplight to enter the VA Medical Center Grounds.
  • As you enter the grounds, go straight and turn right onto Col. Holmberg Road.  Go straight until you best online casino com come to a dead end.  Building 14 will be right in front of you.  Turn right and there are two parking lots, one on your right and one on your left.  You may park in either of these lots.
