My name is Vanessa Schwab, Special Events Coordinator, American Legion Riders Mark A. Moore Post 3 , Flagstaff. American Legion Riders are hosting the traveling vietnam wall known as "The Wall That Heals" It will be on display at Wheeler Park in City Hall Complex July 10th, 2009 - July 12th, 2009 and will be open for viewing 24 hours a day. Along with City of Flagstaff, we have been working on making this a most memorable event for the veterans and their families. As with any event their are expenses. We are contacting organizations and businesses and even private donators for a Tax Deductible donation. We know times are tough, but any amount helps and it all adds up. I am asking you if you will bring this up at your meeting and possible send a donation. Also to let you know that ANY donations that are over and above the expense will be used to add to the veterans memorable in Wheeler Park honoring the visit.

We would also like to invite everyone we can to join us on July 7th, 2009 escorting the wall into Flagstaff. we are meeting at exit #233 on 1-40 at 1 PM. Kick stands up at 2 PM. It's about a 35 mile escort and will come thru Flagstaff on Route 66 to the Elks lodge for a lunchen and ceremony welcoming the Wall and the site managers. This will be a great event and would love to see many there. We have special patches at $6.00 for the first 200 escorts.
I really need a head count so there's enough food to go around so if you think you can make it please RSVP as soon as possible.
